What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Programs Extended Learning Instructor position at Porfirio H. Gonzales Elementary School?
Extended Learning Instructors will plan and execute lessons designed to support student learning based on school data needs and will adhere to school program goals. Sessions will take place before or after school throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have experience in helping children develop literacy, math and other academic skills.
- Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of scientifically based research interventions, instructional strategies and approaches for academic and behavior success in elementary schools, and of developmentally appropriate instruction for children.
- Candidates must demonstrate, organizational skills, and communication.
Accountability goals for this position are as follows:
- Works closely with Extended Learning Coordinator to adhere to school program goals.
- Improved student academic achievement
- Monitors student attendance of the programs by collecting attendance data
- Plans and executes lesson plans and activities implementation, maintains discipline, and evaluates students’ development.
- Collaborates with other extended learning opportunities staff as needed.
- Compensation- $25/hour
