What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Port City Air Inc?
Great Circle Catering (GCC) is the Seacoast area's premier full-service caterer. GCC operates as a commissary kitchen for corporate catering, social events, food trucks, kiosks, general aviation and military troop flights. We are currently hiring for a full-time Prep Cook for our growing company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Rounds Chefs with food preparation
- Assist with production of large-scale orders
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces and other areas of the facility
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines
- Assist with loading and unloaded of fleet vehicles for deliveries and events
- Assist with receiving and stocking inventory
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Fundamental culinary knowledge required
- Some previous food service experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and be crossed trained
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, push pull 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use standard kitchen equipment – slicer, dish machine, knives, ovens
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
