The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound transportation, ensuring timely and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods from suppliers to retailers and customers. This role requires maintaining close relationships with core carriers, coordinating internal and external communication, and troubleshooting potential delays to uphold delivery timelines.
Basic Responsibilities
- × Order Entry of carriers and freight cost
- × Track schedules and production time
- × Communicate clearly with shipping/receiving departments and carriers on ready time of product
- × Prompt responses internally and externally
- × Responsible for sourcing new transportation partners through emails, calls and in person meetings, as well as negotiating rates with those partners.
- × Confirming new loads to carriers, tracking the loads, recover loads that are dropped and mitigate damaged goods.
- × Will be sending updates to customer service on whereabouts of deliveries.
