Come join our team – at Port City Java we are looking for the right individual. We are a locally owned business that has been serving Wilmington and surrounding areas since 1995. All coffee served in our cafes are locally roasted at our corporate headquarters.
- Must be an organized self-motivator with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Valid NC driver’s license, in good standing, required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
- Opportunities to receive additional on the job training in forklift certification, logistics and specific job-related functions.
- Monday through Thursday, 8am-5pm, Fridays 8am-3pm.
- A bag of coffee each week.
- JOB OVERVIEW:
Production Team Members work in a warehouse environment and manufacture all coffee products after the coffee is roasted. This includes but is not limited to blending, bagging, boxing, and shipping coffee and coffee related products. This job requires endurance and consistency throughout the workday that includes standing for long periods of time and lifting 50-75 lbs. Successful Production Team Members are physically able to meet the demands of the job, be punctual, and resourceful. Production Team Members are also engaged in our business by contributing to meetings and goal setting.
The Deliveries aspect of the Production Team Member position will be responsible for ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers/Cafés on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks, and providing exceptional service to our customers/Cafés. Deliveries are generally conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
