SUMMARY
Receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed; to be loaded and/or unloaded.
Accurately prepares and fills work orders to ensure correctness of orders for customer satisfaction.
Makes pails & drums of liquid product
Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to other designated areas; loads and unloads trucks when necessary.
Sorts and places materials, items, or shipments received on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
Assists walk-in customers for pick-ups, such as, oil and/or fuel.
Marks materials with identifying information, when necessary.
Records amounts of materials or other items received or distributed; prepares storage areas for stock of materials or products.
Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
May be responsible for compiling worksheets, paperwork or tickets for billing department or customer specifications; assisting with inventory needs.
Safely operates forklift machine and pallet jacks to move stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items on pallets for shipment.
May be responsible for completing requisition forms to order supplies/products.
