Position Overview: As the line cook, you are responsible for ensuring food is prepared to order and adhering to department standards. You must know menu items and follow recipes to ensure food preparation meets guidelines and standards. Effective communication and professionalism are required when interacting with kitchen coworkers and front-of-house staff. All tasks and interactions should uphold the company's mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications
- Current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one prior to hire
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume kitchen
- Experience in sauté and grill stations
- Must be 18 years of age
- Effective communication skills with coworkers and the public
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Essential Functions
- Prepare food to order in accordance with quality food standards and written recipes
- Follow proper portion control and presentation techniques to ensure consistent quality and appearance of dishes
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and address customer inquiries or concerns
- Organize food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock to ensure freshness of products
- Follow all safety procedures
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests to guarantee exceptional guest experiences
- Set up, restock, maintain, and clean food preparation areas
- Monitor the quality and consistency of all food served from the lines
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Attend all mandatory meetings
- Perform other duties as requested and assigned by your manager

Compensation$18.00 - $21.50 plus tips. New employees typically start at $18.00. Pay will depend on level of experience and qualifications.
