Marketing- Casino Host
General Position Summary:
Responsible for the maximization of play by coded players through relationship building, personalized hosting services and techniques, development and execution of VIP events. Continuous analysis of individual coded players play activity and play trends by the Casino Host is an essential component of the daily activities.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Provides personalized host services to coded players to include hotel reservations, dining arrangements, VIP event invitations and reservations. This includes continuous personal interaction, telephone contact, email contact and regular mail contact
- Concentrates on growing and acquiring players to maximize their lifetime gaming activity and profitability to Port Madison Enterprises (PME)
- Participates in all Player Development and Marketing Department meetings to ensure proper dissemination of information relative to VIP events and promotions
- Actively promotes all current and upcoming casino activities including special events, promotions and entertainment
- Creates, implements, and executes Players Club VIP events that are cost effective, provide a positive Return on Investment(ROI) and meet the established events strategy
- Continuous development and analysis of Player Tracking Reports to manage the growth and profitability of coded players
- Management of all coded players activity and statistical play data to make decisions on adding or dropping coded players as well as management of the coded players tier status
- Must appease all customer complaints while adhering to approved comp authorization thresholds
- Responds to questions regarding the tiered program and explains the benefits associated with each level
- Constantly circulates amongst the guests and makes appropriate introductions
- Secures updated and missing information for the player database as opportunities arise
- Actively seeks out and recruits new players, both internally and externally
- Develops relationships with other team members to engage them in all efforts to develop players and improve the overall gaming experience at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
Secondary Functions:
- Makes regular announcements over the casino-wide announcement system for jackpots, promotional drawings and other announcements, as necessary
- Assists other Hosts players as necessary
- Assists and coordinates with Club Clearwater(CCW) personnel to provide Clearly Superior Customer Service to all guests
- Works with gaming departments to promote events which will increase revenue
- Adheres to all Marketing and PME policies and procedures
- Complies with all casino gaming policies and procedures, Gaming Ordinance and other proprietary information
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Job Skills:
- Must be able to provide Clearly Superior Customer Service to guests and employees with proven public relations and conflict resolutions skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make clear and concise public announcements using a microphone in an effort to create an atmosphere of excitement and entertainment
- Presents a professional image and exercises excellent public speaking skills
- Must possess competency in use of MS Office applications with knowledge of database usage
- Accurate and timely handling of assigned tasks and multiple activities
- Must possess and demonstrate Clearly Superior work ethics which include maintaining a team-oriented environment (encourages team members to share information, ideas and resolve guest conflicts quickly and professionally)
- Demonstrates an ability to follow directions and work independently
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Some college coursework preferred. Previous gaming experience and/or combination of customer service and hospitality experience preferred.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working in a smoke-filled casino, working with a computer and other equipment. Other working conditions may include working with others, frequent interruptions, evenings, holidays and/or weekends. A majority of the time will be spent on the gaming floor which will require standing for extended periods of time. The work schedule will include working flexible hours and shifts to include late nights (Casino operating hours) and may require some travel while attending off-site functions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to work evenings based on a rotating schedule. Manual and finger dexterity for the operation of personal computers and routine paperwork is required.
