General Position Summary:
Performs maintenance duties as directed to include cleaning, minor repairs and other general maintenance duties.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Keeps casino facilities clean, and well maintained as directed
- Completes duties while providing Spectacular Customer Service at all times
- Performs general maintenance and general repair as directed by department management
- Operates heavy equipment while performing duties to include, but not limited to pressure washing machine, floor sweeper, scrubber, vacuum cleaner, etc
- Serves as a first responder during bio-hazard situations
- Completes all mandatory training annually (i.e., OSHA, etc)
- Makes water deliveries to casino departments
- Performs duties in a safe manner consistent with training
Secondary Functions:
- May perform cleaning and light maintenance of various Port Madison Enterprises divisions
- Responsible for maintaining and cleaning carpets.
- Performs other duties as assigned during shift
Specific Job Skills:
- Ability to use hand and power tools, safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of the use, selection and disposal of cleaning solutions and other potentially toxic materials
- Able to perform general maintenance tasks in an efficient manner
- Knowledge of chemicals used for carpet cleaning, types of carpet, distributors, and how to operate carpet machines.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. One to two years of carpet cleaning experience preferred.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working outside, and in inclement weather condition, for long periods of time. Climbing (use of ladders both inside and outside), lifting, bending, stooping and crawling into difficult workspaces. Other conditions include working alone, frequent interruptions, evenings and/or weekends. Must be able to tolerate loud equipment noise while following safety measures and wearing applicable personal protective equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Manual and finger dexterity for the operation of hand and power tools. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and to lift, pull or push up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
