General Position Summary
Responsible for developing and designing information security systems in an effort to ensure that PME’s network is secure. Responsible for identifying process risks, weaknesses, and controls, making recommendations and plans to address vulnerabilities.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
Performs duties independently with little or no supervision, operating from established practices and procedures and according to gaming regulations. Decisions are made within general company policy constraints but often requires independent decision-making. Uses judgment and makes decisions when faced with equipment failure, error conditions, and/or software problems in coordination with the IT Manager.

Interpersonal Contacts
Has regular contact with others both inside and outside of the organization. The most common internal contacts are with PME personnel in support of systems. The most frequent external contacts are with vendors, service providers, computer service providers, and PME guests/customers. Internal and external interactions involve information exchange and problem solving and tracking.
Qualifications
Specific Job Skills:
Must possess a thorough working knowledge of recent Microsoft Operating Systems and Active Directory. Proficiency with cybersecurity tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption, preferred. Working understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat intelligence, risk management, and incident response. IT security analyst certification required, and two (2) to five (5) years IT security experience preferred.
Job Conditions
Working conditions include working in a small, confined space with other personnel for extended periods of time. Employees will work in a smoke-filled environment. Other conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call.
Physical Requirements
Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers and routine paperwork Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in a smoking environment.

- Actively participates in the daily coordination and remediation of all security incidents in the organization
- Recommend and work with management and other infrastructure staff to Install and configure software that is created to protect sensitive information, such as firewalls and data encryption programs
- Oversees the monitoring, investigating, and reporting of security related events
- Research the latest in information technology security trends to keep up to date with the subject and use the latest technology to protect information
- Develop a security plan for best standards and practices for PME
- Conduct frequent testing of simulated cyber-attacks to look test for vulnerabilities in on the PME Network and recommend remediate, isolation, or document risk.
- Assessing weaknesses in the network and working with infrastructure team for ways to improve security
- Make recommendations to management about security advancements to best protect the company’s systems
- Responsible to oversee the monitoring, investigating, and reporting of security related events
- Creates updates and oversees execution of security assessments and analysis of systems on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Conducts assessment on the security of new applications and programs prior to installation or upgrades
- Responsible for monitoring and responding to alerts within the information technology infrastructure
- Secondary Functions:
- Ensures that all related information technology/service diagrams are up to date and appropriately documented
- Oversees the administration, documenting, and monitoring inventory control for all related network equipment
- Responsible to ensure all staff are provided with relevant trainings on security matters

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to understand and interpret technical language and transform into laymen’s terms for others to understand
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical materials, financial reports and legal documents and extract and apply core concepts in an effort to problem solve
- Excellent Math skills. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Programming experience and strong knowledge of programming in general
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Must possess excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals
