What are the responsibilities and job description for the Band Director-Port Neches Middle School position at Port Neches-Groves ISD?
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Education: BA/BS
Experience: Three years teaching and band directing experience preferred
Licenses/Other: Appropriate Texas Certification or such alternatives as may be acceptable
to the district.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES :
- Direct middle school instrumental performers, including marching band, orchestra, concert band, soloist and ensembles
- Provide for band participation at extracurricular events including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, and UIL activities.
- Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in band.
- Maintain current inventory of all fixed assets within department.
- Maintain professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
- Other duties as assigned by the principal.
