What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Keeper/General Laborer position at Port Neches-Groves ISD?
- Mowing and detailing of campus grounds throughout the district
- Assist skilled workers with repair and maintenance of district facilities, including repairing woodwork; replacing electrical switches, fixtures, and motors; painting, repairing, and replacing plumbing fixtures and drainage systems; and replacing broken glass
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs
- Complete repairs as requested on work orders or by maintenance supervisor
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold at least a high school diploma or GED
Valid Texas driver’s license or such alternatives as may be acceptable to the district.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally)
- Ability to operate power and hand tools
- Ability to work independently
