Responsibilities:
- Prepare written correspondence, schedules, and reports using a personal computer.
- Notify custodial staff or maintenance of problems in the building.
- Type applications for elections, ballots, and graduation programs.
- Maintain confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned by the school principal or director.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills.
- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use a personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases.
- Type and duplicate all work for the student activities program.
- Handle all correspondence for the student activities director.
- Prepare and distribute athletic schedules and rosters.
- Organize meals for Friday night participants who are not athletes.
- Assist with graduation preparations, including typing programs and preparing diplomas.
- High School graduate or certificate of high school equivalence (GED).
- Secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment.
- Eligible for Notary Public and/or state Paraprofessional Certification.
