Serve as a liaison between the member and the credit union. Provide account information by phone or in person, as well as information on the full range of credit union products and services. Open accounts for members, interview and professionally handle the member’s daily needs. Provide a wide variety of transaction services to members including loan disbursal, receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy and efficiency, and other member services in relation to credit union products and services. Maintain accurate transactions records.

1. Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.

2. Represent the credit union in a courteous, professional manner and appearance.

3. Provide comprehensive, prompt, efficient, and accurate service and transactions to members.

4. Always maintain confidentiality.

5. Provide in-person and by-telephone general and specific service-related information concerning credit union products and policies.

6. Respond to members’ requests, problems, and complaints, resolving issues, and/or directing them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance.

7. Research accounts for deposit, withdrawal, and loan-payment discrepancies.

8. Open new accounts and service existing accounts. Set up new account files, and provide members with all necessary information for membership. Inform each new credit union members of credit union services, programs, and policies.

9. Actively promote, explain, and cross-sell credit union products, services, and promotions.

10. Assist members in balancing their accounts.

11. Assist members in opening Individual Retirement Accounts.

12. Assist member with the proper completion of loan applications, payroll deduction, and other necessary forms.

13. Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and accurately enter deposits into computer records.

14. Provide information on investment alternatives to members wishing to deposit funds with the credit union.

15. Process withdrawals and cash share draft/checks from accounts, verify amounts, and enter withdrawals into system accurately upon proper verification according to credit union policies and procedures.

16. Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check requests, certificate transactions, and any other requests received from members.

17. Receive loan and other payments and ensure the payments match balances due. Enter payments into computer accurately.

18. Interview loan and credit card applicants and ensure applications are completed accurately.

19. Disburse loans as needed.

20. Sell Prepaid Debit Cards, Gift Cards, and Theme Park Tickets.

21. Count, check and package coins and currency. Maintain accurate change fund.

22. Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amount to computer-generated balance sheet. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to the Manager.

23. Ensure that all work stations are properly stocked with forms, supplies, brochures, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.90 - $15.68 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
