Position Summary :
Administers Port Houston's workers' compensation andliability claims programs, to include coordination of modified duty placements. Organize pre / post-disaster recoveryefforts as related to Port Houston's subrecipient status in the FEMA's Public Assistance Program. Perform professional administrative duties, including contract, certificates, driver reporting, and other compliance initiatives, to support the Risk Management departmentand Finance Division.
Key Responsibilities / Duties :
- Administrate claims programs, to include the investigation and medical adjudication requirements involving the injured employee, witnesses, supervisors, medical / pharmacy staff, and other at-fault third parties.
- Serve as department's primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders concerning inquiries and issues related to open records requests and / or claim related detail.
- Develop and timely process employee injury reports and related documentation to a third-party claim administrator (TPA) and maintain organized claim files to support compliance, document management, reserving, and payments for medical, legal and other claim allocated expenditures
- Support third party administrator (TPA) activities or document requests for the administration of claims; participate in quarterly
claim reviews or other audit relatedinformation requests.
Implement modified duty and return to work program(s); coordinate information timely with involved departments.
