Port St. John Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Lead Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team!
We empower our CVTs to fully utilize their education and skills, playing a key role in patient care, laboratory diagnostics, client education, and team mentorship. This position requires advanced proficiency in dentistry, surgical assisting, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication.
As Lead Certified Veterinary Technician, you will not only provide hands-on patient care but also train and mentor team members in surgery, dentistry, in-house diagnostics, and client education. Youll help manage veterinarian orders, ensure exceptional patient care, and maintain an efficient workflow to keep exams and treatments running smoothly.

This is a full-time opportunity with a 4-10 schedule and requires availability for a rotating half-day Saturday shift.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive pay: $21-$23/hour
- Bonus package: $2,000
- CE allowance: $500-$1,000 annually based one tenure

Minimum qualifications and skillset requirements:
- Current Veterinary Technician Certification in the State of Florida (or the ability to transfer an out-of-state license)
- 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Training / mentorship experience
Proficiency in the following skills:
- Surgical assistance including induction, monitoring, and post-op recovery
- Dental prophylaxis, single-root extractions and radiographs
- Blood draws and IVC placement
- Microscopic evaluation
- Client education
