What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Pool Staff Attendant position at Port Susan Camping Club?
HOURS:
- Approximately 120 days, beginning the week before Memorial Day
- Possibility of working up to 40 hours per week, rotating shifts
- Overtime is not expected, but may be required occassionally.
- May be required to work Holidays, weekends, and evenings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 16 years old with authorization to work from school and parents
- Valid Washington State drivers license or State ID
- Must be able to pull up a 150lb adult from the pool with a ring buoy, shephards hook, etc.
- Pleasant attitude and neat appearance
- Must be able to be contacted by phone
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervise the pool area at all times while members are in or around the pool.
- Warn swimmers of unsafe activities and enforce water safety policies and pool rules.
- Able to accurately follow written and oral instructions and ability to work independently.
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to all members, guests, and coworkers at all times.
- Monitor Family Center activities and the safe use of the building as needed.
- Monitor the pool during night time swim hours.
- Perform all daily opening and closing pool duties including, but not limited to, straightening pool furniture, storing pool items, and locking up pool gates.
- Inspect pool equipment, facilities, and water to ensure safety and usability.
- Utilize the chain of command for all procedural matters and problem resolution.
- Administer swim tests and assign pass or fail based on a checklist of skills.
- Work cooperatively with other PSCC departments as needed.
- Document any incidents and or injuries that occur in or around the pool area.
- Other duties as assigned.
