What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Delivery Driver position at Port Washington Saukville School District?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving & Storage: Unload and store deliveries in the dry storage room, walk-in cooler, and walk-in freezer. Ensure all items are properly labeled, dated, and rotated following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
- Government Food Order Management: Assist with the government food order once a month, with additional deliveries as needed for the remainder of the 2025 year.
- Food Service Delivery: Operate the food service delivery truck, including safely using the back lift gate and securing food carts for transport. Ensure timely daily food deliveries to three elementary schools.
- Mail & Interoffice Deliveries: Collect and deliver interoffice mail between five schools and the district office, ensuring accurate and timely distribution.
- Cafeteria & Kitchen Maintenance:
- Assist in cleaning cafeteria tables after each lunch period to maintain a sanitary dining area.
- Work with the Food Service Manager to sort, organize, and pull food needed for the week.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors after service to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Remove all garbage and recyclable materials (such as cardboard) from the kitchen daily, disposing of them in the proper dumpster areas.
- Storage & Organization: Keep all storage areas organized using proper food safety protocols, including FIFO procedures. Maintain cleanliness and accessibility in storage spaces.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow proper lifting techniques and workplace safety protocols to prevent injuries.
