What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOH Manager position at PORT Waterfront Bar & Grill?
Waterfront restaurant looking for ambitious, experienced managers starting MAY 2025. Our restaurant is located in Greenport, NY. We have grown into a staple of summering on the East End of Long Island. We provide a high quality customer experience with a laid back and relaxed vibe. People come for good food, good drinks, and friendly service that exceeds the expectations of the typical diner. We ask our managers to maintain a high level of service, yet a fun, casual vibe on property at all times. We are looking for a full time restaurant manager and/or floor managers who can provide supervision of staff and maintain guest experience to owner's standards.
Managers must:
- Be knowledgable in beer, wine, spirits
- Knowledgeable of foods, including items not on regular menu
- Experienced in high volume
- Clean, dedicated to keeping the property impeccable
- Friendly, welcoming to guests
- Knowledgeable about food and drink menu
- Organized and able to focus on completing tasks at hand
- Able to supervise staff of all types and cooperative with other managers and staff alike
- Have flexible hours
- Able to work long hours and fill holes in staffing where needed
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure a high standard of service.
- Train and manage staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Monitor food service quality and efficiency, addressing any issues promptly.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members.
- Manage inventory and cash handling procedures to maintain accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to enhance customer satisfaction.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $1,750.00 per week
