In this position you will be responsible for serving a U.S. Government agency on-site in Washington, DC providing export controls compliance advice, guidance, analysis, and training.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand, analyze and apply export controls laws and regulations such as the  International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations.
  • Review, analyze, and assess transactions subject to Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) requirements.
  • Develop and revise export controls compliance directives, instructions, policies, procedures and guidance.
  • Support the identification of activities subject to export controls.
  • Conduct systematic assessments of export control compliance for selected programs, projects, technologies, technical data, and transactions.
  • Develop and support an outreach program to educate agency staff on export control compliance requirements.
  • Offer policy and technical support to agency and/or interagency stakeholders on export control issues, questions, and meetings.
  • Provide technical and regulatory support to identify and analyze CFIUS transactions.


Qualifications


  • U.S. citizen.
  • Secret/Top Secret Clearance, SCI Eligible.
  • Experience with export controls and OFAC regulations.
  • Prior direct service with the U.S. government as a staff officer or contractor.
  • Strong analytical, communication and quantitative skills.
  • Strong teamwork and mission-oriented mindset.
