The District Manager (DM) is responsible for overseeing several retail locations and supervising multiple Retail Store Managers. These responsibilities include driving sales metrics, executing operational initiatives, controlling expenses, handling personnel issues, implementing merchandising initiatives and applying company policies throughout the district. District Managers are ultimately responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout their stores by constantly improving the capability of their team. A District Manager is a role model, leader, solves problems, makes informed decisions, and leads the workforce wisely in order to achieve maximum results. The DM must demonstrate strong leadership skills and develop, implement, and manage programs and processes.
Some Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a respectful and professional work environment.
- Remain abreast of all changes within the wireless industry, provide up to date industry and carrier specific information to sales team.
- Oversee compliance of Store Managers with established Company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of Company funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record-keeping procedures by performing required audits
- Remain aware and current on all performance markers both with the location, district and the market Monitor schedules and check for proper scheduling level to meet customer service and sale goals.
- Drives sales performance: meeting individual, store and district sales goals through coaching, training, continually developing a sales team, monitoring and reviewing sales team progress. Demonstrate to other employees how to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified Retails Store Managers and Retail Sales Consultants to meet the district's needs.
- Review accurate and timely completion of RSM/RSC operational checklists. Monitor schedules and provide company with adequate follow up per policy
Requirements
- Ability to work a full-time schedule, (45 hours weekly) including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
- Ability to travel 75% of the time. (This includes multi state visits if needed.)
- Physical Effort: Position requires moderate physical activity; requires handling of average-weight objects up to 30 pounds or standing for long periods of time (more than 9 hours per day).
- Physical Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks that require following basic safety precautions; must be able to work on ladder, push and pull 30lbs, lift up to 151 lbs. over your head; must be able to carry 50lbs or greater for at least 100 feet; and stoop and bend.
