Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Universal Banker. At Portage Community Bank, a Universal Banker serves both the teller line and the new accounts platform. Responsible for assisting new and existing customers with their account needs. Opens deposit accounts, handles teller transactions and resolves customer service issues. Provides superior customer service in the presentation of product knowledge and bank services; expand current relationships by suggesting other products to enhance the client’s banking relationship.
Requirements
- Establish and maintain relationships with individual and business customers and provide assistance
- Assists with balancing the vault daily using cash in and cash outs to ensure the vault cash balances
- Assists with managing the vault cash to the bank-set cash level by selling and buying currency and * Develop and retain the customer base by providing superior service
- Maintain balancing and error record in line with policy and have the ability to find and correct outages
- Perform customer service duties such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, Cashier Checks, Money Orders, and assist customer telephone inquiries.
- Assist Operations Department in any general ledger research and/or corrections of un-posted
- Assist with monthly reports, such as Cash Difference Records, Daily Cash Reports
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of all corporate policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Teller experience required.
- A strong knowledge of all banking rules and regulations, audit standards and corporate policies, procedures and compliance policies.
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
