What are the primary job responsibilities?
Recruit, Hire, Train, Supervise and Evaluate section Social Worker/Case Managers (CLTS Service Coordinator role).
- Implement section reorganization to maximize program effectiveness and staff efficiency.
- Initiate recruitment and hiring as needed.
- Recommend hiring and termination.
- Supervise and evaluate section personnel based on HR policy.
- Ensure new staff are trained, and current staff are trained in new program policy/procedures implemented in each unit.
- Administers Human Resources polices as necessary.
- Lead section staff meetings to provide direction and consultation to section personnel, regularly provide feedback and direction to staff regarding assessment, planning and interventions.
- Organize and promote staff development through individual guidance, in-service programs and other training and events.
- Respond to and resolve staff complaints.
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs to assure compliance with all relevant administrative codes and applicable laws and statutes.
- Direct case assignments.
- Analyze section case files/paperwork for quality assurance purposes.
- Resolve client complaints.
- Represent Portage County at regional and state-wide meetings.
- Attends Internal Management meetings.
- Organize and lead program meetings.
- Collaborate with internal and external community partners.
- In conjunction correlating Division management, develops yearly budget for section.
- Regularly monitors all expenses and revenues.
- Bachelor's degree in social work or other related human service program required.
- Experience in service provision to individuals with developmental disabilities, individuals with physically disabilities, individuals with mental health or substance abuse required.
- Experience with Children's Long-Term Support waivers program preferred.
- Supervisory experience in human services or related field preferred.
- Experience in budgeting and fiscal processes related to governmental entities preferred.
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
