Teacher Assistant- Head Start
Academic-Year Position, Full-Time (40 hours, M-F), Non-Exempt- Enjoy winter, spring, and summer breaks!

Minimum of a High School diploma or GED and willing to obtain CDA within two years of hire.
Position Summary:
This position supports and assists the Head Start Teacher in implementing a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate educational program for preschool children ages 3-5 years. The Teacher Assistant shares responsibilities for implementing the Teacher’s daily lesson plans and activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and state regulations. This role involves close collaboration with the Head Start Teacher, families, other educators, community partners, and support staff to ensure that each child receives comprehensive and individualized support. Teacher Assistants will work with children from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of developmental levels, including children with special needs, and those with IEPs and CSPs. The Head Start Teacher Assistant will be observed by staff, a third party, and via video for compliance, training, and coaching purposes.
