Responsibilities
The City of New York and the State of California require Portage Point to provide compensation information for this role. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.

Responsibilities
- Work with senior team members and clients to lead the development of comprehensive solutions to complex operational and financial challenges across the business lifecycle including formulating and implementing value creation, business transformation and performance improvement plans, bankruptcy preparation and execution
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-Suite executives and key stakeholders to effectively support engagements
- Work with the Portage Point team of Associates to Managing Directors to manage execution of all deliverable workflows and ensure high-quality outcomes
- Listen to client needs and identify the operational and financial analysis that need to be completed
- Assess organizational, operational and individual structures and effectiveness
- Identify areas for operational improvements and value creation and value preservation and re-allocate resources to initiatives with the highest risk-adjusted return Manage liquidity management (cash flow forecasting, treasury operations and stakeholder communications), case administration (filing preparation, bankruptcy reporting, claims support and plan support) and supporting the development and formulation of business / restructuring plans
- Structure and incorporate streamlined financial and operational processes to improve efficiencies
- Identify and re-allocate resources to operational, growth, financial and strategic initiatives with highest risk adjusted return
- Lead preparation of executive reporting packages including KPIs, financial performance, budget, board of director presentations, stakeholder presentations, etc.
- Support and lead various operational, financial and management meetings
- Draft and lead key constituent communications / negotiations
- Identify and raise risks effectively, manage multiple workstreams driving successful engagement execution
- Begin to establish a network of executives, private equity firms, lenders, lawyers and other related parties and build relationships that yield an active referral base of high-quality opportunities
- Provide professional development guidance to junior team members
- Support business development, talent acquisition and firm development efforts
- Contribute to a high-performing and inclusive culture by supporting business development, origination and sale of engagements, talent acquisition and firm growth
- Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program
- Located or willing to relocate to Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or New York
- Invested in a team-based culture that involves in office four days per week and willing to work at client sites as needed
- Seven plus years of experience with two or more years in IB, consulting, restructuring or private equity at a top-tier firm in addition to time spent investing, advising and / or servicing stakeholders or a compelling non-traditional background High degree of maturity with ability to build and maintain rapport with senior executives, middle managers, line workers, private equity firms, lenders and lawyers and deliver high-value work that exceeds client expectations
- Experience in financial modeling including three statement models, 13-week cash flows, dynamic KPI packages and complex ad hoc analysis
- Ability to lead clients and teams through transformation, in and out of court restructuring and investment banking engagements
- Commitment to developing personal network and relationships
- Lead clients and teams through PI, TRS and OCFO workstreams including information requests, conducting analysis and effectively presenting key takeaways and opportunities
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, lean team environment
- Effectively and proactively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structure and formatting
- Eagerness to be responsive at all times
- Proven track-record of success in high pressure, time-constrained environments
