What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Admissions Representative position at Porter & Chester Institute?
The High School Admissions Representative is responsible for developing interest in the school’s programs from prospective high school students by building relationships with local high schools and communities in an assigned territory. This role involves relationship building, territory organization and management, public speaking, conducting presentations and tours, admissions interviews, applicant enrollment, and representing the institute at various events. The position requires extensive travel within a designated territory.
Extensive travel required - Connecticut Territory
The High School Admissions Representative will be responsible for the following:
- Develop new, and strengthen existing relationships with high schools and local community organizations
- Generate new leads through conducting in-person presentations at high schools via; classroom presentations, college and career fairs, arranging bus tours of local PCI campuses, and other events
- Perform on-campus admissions interviews and tours with prospective students and their parents
- Utilizing the schools’ database system, manage the outreach and follow-up with prospective students to ensure they have an opportunity to learn more about our schools and programs
- Proactively work to increase contacts with educators and school counselors in the territory to encourage high school student interest and enrollment in PCI
- Learn, retain, and stay up to date on PCI programs and options to answer questions from prospective students in an informative and compliant manner
- Attend weekly meetings with Admissions management to report updates, activities, and production
- Actively participate in training and instruction regarding the High School Recruiting Process
- Maintain and track inventory of High School recruitment materials and supplies through Admissions management
- Learn, understand, and maintain compliance with the policies and procedures for PCI
- Meet or exceed weekly and quarterly enrollment funnel metrics through effective outreach and recruitment efforts
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of sales or customer services experience required
- Excellent written and oral communication, public relations and promotional skills required
- Experience with public speaking preferred
- Knowledge of career education helpful
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential
- Ability to follow direction and processes
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
