The Role :
As a Forklift Operator at Porter Logistics, you will be the driving force of our day-to-day operation. Your primary responsibilities will be loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products into and out of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience operating stand-up forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our facilities.
This is a full-time hourly position requiring your presence at our warehouse facility on a daily basis. The hours are 6am - 2 : 30pmET . The compensation for this role ranges from $18 - 20 / hour .
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring safe and efficient transport.
- Move palletized goods to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
