The Role:
As the GM, you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and implementing all warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations across 3 of our metro-Atlanta based warehouses. Your responsibilities will involve leading site management and personnel, maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards, and developing strategic initiatives to foster customer relationships and business success. You will ultimately be responsible for maximizing the efficiency and profitability of our sites while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Execute and optimize the existing operational playbook to ensure consistency and efficiency across all facilities.
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators that drive our business, including but not limited to: on-time shipments, inventory accuracy, on-time putaway, damage, and safety.
- Own the P&L responsibility for the buildings, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop at team of 40-50 associates, including Operations Managers, Supervisors, and Warehouse Associates.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of every warehouse function and the roles of all employees.
- Present business reviews, operational insights, and improvement plans to clients.
- Foster strong client relationships to drive customer satisfaction and expand business opportunities.
- Maintain all safety, operations, quality, financial, legal, and regulatory functions executed on site.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement innovative solutions.
What's Needed to be Successful as Porter's GM:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience within a distribution center and/or warehouse required.
- Intimate understanding of warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping.
- Proven ability to manage and analyze metrics to drive operational success.
- Exceptional client-facing skills, with experience presenting to and building relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to handle adversity, make quick decisions, and lead through change.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and data analysis tools.
- Prior experience leading a team of salaried and hourly associates with strong people management skills.

Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
