The Role:
As an Operations Manager at Porter Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, transportation management, demand planning, and procurement processes. Your primary goal will be to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction for our clients. This is a full-time position requiring your presence at our warehouse facility on a daily basis. Operating hours are typically Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage all warehouse operations. This includes, but isn't limited to: receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of stock levels, discrepancies, and stock replenishment.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Foster a positive and productive work environment; make the warehouse somewhere employees want to come to work.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of product. Partner with providers, suppliers, and customers.
- Financial Management: Own the warehouse P&L. Prepare and manage warehouse budgets, controlling expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
- Proven experience owning the operations of a warehouse, with a track record of successful team leadership and process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
