What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and execute strategic public relations plans: Support the creation of comprehensive, insight-driven PR strategies that align with client objectives and industry trends. Own the execution of key tactics and initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across channels.
- Communicate complex scientific and regulatory milestones: Support the translation of data milestones, regulatory approvals, and scientific advancements into compelling narratives that resonate with key stakeholders, including media, healthcare professionals, advocacy groups, and patients.
- Create and refine high-quality communications materials: Draft and edit content, including press releases, Q&As, media materials, executive thought leadership pieces, social media posts, and sponsored content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Drive impactful media engagement: Leverage strong media relations skills to cultivate relationships with journalists, influencers, and trade publications, securing meaningful coverage in traditional and digital outlets.
- Develop and implement thought leadership initiatives: Identify and secure strategic speaking opportunities, bylined articles, and media interviews for client executives, positioning them as industry leaders and trusted voices within the healthcare space.
- Collaborate with integrated teams: Work closely with internal partners across digital, paid media, analytics, and strategic planning to develop innovative, multi-channel campaigns that maximize client impact.
- Monitor industry and competitive trends: Conduct ongoing research and analysis of industry developments, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities, providing actionable insights to the internal team and clients.
- Manage multiple projects with precision and efficiency: Oversee timelines and deliverables across multiple workstreams, ensuring all client deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality output.
- Mentor and support junior team members: Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring strong execution of client work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or marketing; agency experience and exposure to large, integrated programs preferred.
- Health industry experience strongly preferred; familiarity with pharmaceutical, biotech, or health communications is a plus.
- Experience with Veeva and navigating MLR review is a strong advantage.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling media materials, thought leadership content, and social media copy.
- Understanding of digital and social media strategies and their role in communications campaigns.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong grasp of PR fundamentals, including media relations, message development, and strategic planning.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and engage with creative, digital, and analytics partners.
- Experience working with third-party organizations, vendors, or advocacy groups to drive impactful programs.
- A team-oriented, proactive mindset, with a willingness to contribute beyond defined responsibilities.
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members, providing feedback and quality control.
