- We are seeking a motivated and dynamic business development manager to join our team and drive the growth of sponsorship partnerships for our events.
About the job:
- As a business development manager you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing sponsorship opportunities with companies that want to connect with the RIA audience. You will play a key role in supporting the success of our events by delivering value to sponsors while driving revenue growth for the company.
- Strong candidates will have experience in either conference sponsorship sales or the finance and investments industry and be looking for a client facing position with a heavy outreach focus.
Hybrid role, two days in office per week.
Event Travel is required for this role, up to once a month.
Key responsibilities:
- Prospect and Outreach: Research and identify potential sponsors, focusing on companies aligned with the RIA industry, including technology providers, investment platforms, and service providers.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in potential sponsoring organizations.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve sponsorship revenue targets for each conference.
- Proposal Development: Create tailored sponsorship packages that align with clients’ marketing goals and the value proposition of the conference.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and close sponsorship agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with event planners, marketing teams, and other internal departments to ensure sponsor satisfaction and deliverables.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for sponsorship growth.
Compensation:
- Base pay with commission. On target earnings from $90k-$150k.
