As a Mechanical Claims Training Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in protecting the interest of the administration company by following the guidelines of each contract Portfolio administers while providing knowledge to the customers and dealers.
Compensation:
- Starting range of pay: $62,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year.
Work schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST.
Job Summary & Objective:
The Mechanical Claims Training Supervisor is responsible for managing the training and technology that supports the Mechanical Claims Team. This role involves developing, maintaining, and delivering comprehensive training programs that enhance associates' skills in mechanical claims processes, critical thinking, soft skills, and proprietary software usage. The supervisor will also facilitate vILT sessions using MSTeams or other media, manage training schedules, conduct office hours training sessions, and coach associates on best practices. Additionally, this position oversees technology initiatives affecting the Mechanical Claims Team and supports the Quality Assurance team.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, maintain, and deliver job training to new hires and existing associates on mechanical claims processes and procedures, soft skills, critical thinking, and proprietary software usage.
- Facilitate vILT sessions using MS Teams or other media and deliver training through diverse methods, including smartphones and tablets.
- Manage training coordinator, schedules, and conduct office hours for ongoing learning support.
- Coach associates on best practices, leveraging presentation and MS Office skills to develop instructional materials.
- Provide consistent training on processes, guidelines, customer service, and technology related to the Mechanical Claims Team.
- Conduct inter-departmental cross-training and external client training as needed.
- Act as the primary liaison between departments on technology changes and initiatives, delivering relevant training.
- Support Quality Assurance efforts by providing training feedback and coaching for performance improvement.
- Source, evaluate, and implement technology solutions that support the department’s mission.
- Assist in testing and implementing new applications used by the department.
- Manage and deliver training for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work in concert with the QA Analyst to develop and deliver content as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Train and direct associates within the Mechanical Claims Department
- Supervise training schedules, Training Coordinator and Mechanical Claims Trainer & QA Analyst.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with SOP’s and documents as well as training to standards
- Aptitude for automotive, motor sports, and recreational vehicle maintenance and repair
- Ability to follow detailed processes and procedures and convey them to associates
- Conduct peer-reviews and review QA Scorecards
- Familiarity with Service Contracts, ability to read and interpret contract verbiage.
- Proven facilitation skills, including conducting vILT sessions via MSTeams.
- Proficiency in critical thinking and the development of instructional materials.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Information Mapping, Instructional Design, ADDIE model
- Experience in coaching and providing feedback to associates.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel overnight (up to 10%).
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Vision acuity required to include close vision, color vision, distant vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to grasp objects such a telephone or computer mouse, finger dexterity to use a keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment
- Ability to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time.
