As Head Chef, you will manage the kitchen team, ensuring that the Porthaven dining experience is of the highest standard. You will manage stock, design menus making the most of your budget and you will serve delicious, well-balanced and nutritious meals that our residents will love. You will provide a high-quality food service to support our residents to live well, being responsive to their needs and contributing to their overall wellbeing whilst in our care, all without the split shifts and long weekends.
About You
You must have experience of working in a commercial kitchen environment, ideally within a care home setting, but this is not essential. You should have an NVQ2 in Catering and Hospitality or Professional Cookery and a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. You will have strong leadership skills, be reliable and you will be fully competent in all aspects of kitchen duties.
The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
