What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Technician position at Portland Bottling Company?
The Sanitation Technician is responsible to ensure the equipment, conveyors and facility are cleaned and verify that all cleaning practices are being followed. This position will clean and/or sanitize all equipment including food contact surfaces following strict standard operating procedures, strict good manufacturing procedures and strict food safety laws and accurately document the procedures. Will perform cleaning and sanitation duties for multiple departments under time sensitive conditions.
Essential Functions
- Cleans the beverage processing equipment and manufacturing equipment, COP (clean out of place) and CIP (clean in place).
- Removes machine guards and accessories.
- Cleans floors and conveyors around machines.
- Uses floor scrubber/sweeper in warehouse areas.
- Pasteurizer cleaning.
- Pressure washing.
- Grease removal under fillers.

Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 1 – 3 months of experience working in a manufacturing setting; experience in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
