Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Location: Portland Gastroenterology Center

About the Role
As an APP, you will work with physicians and medical staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients with both episodic and chronic conditions. You will be responsible for patient consultations, treatment planning, and clinical evaluations, all while ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient follow-ups and consultations, including obtaining medical histories and conducting physical exams.
- Develop complex treatment plans and provide appropriate medical care with minimal supervision.
- Prescribe and administer medications as per protocol.
- Promote health and disease prevention through patient assessments and education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Serve as a leader and mentor, assisting with staff education and development.
- Review referrals, prioritize patient care, and manage diagnostic assessments.
- Address and resolve patient care tasks efficiently to minimize delays.
- Maintain a high standard of documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent required; advanced clinical internship preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of three years as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
- Experience in a clinical setting with chronic and acute care patients.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active Maine licensure and registration as a certified Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Current BLS certification (required).
- ACLS certification strongly encouraged.

Compensation
- Minimum: $48.08/hour (salaried position)
- Pay is commensurate with education and experience
