Key Responsibilities
Crew Coordination Staff Management
Manages team responsible for crew coordination (which may include scheduling, planning, permitting and coordinating work) for work crews, including managing contingent workers and contract crews and managing emergent work and dispatcher crews for outages; provides technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed; ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved; ensures that operational procedures and working practices are current and fit for the purpose; establishes overall functional strategy for the area; oversees development of functional metrics; manages or oversees performance management lifecycle; monitors overall functional performance to business objectives.
Crew Coordination Operations
Ensures dispatching of crews is effectively coordinated; directs and motivates staff to develop creative solutions for difficult dispatching challenges; prioritizes and adjusts the work assigned to crews based upon corporate objectives; resolves major dispatch and outage coordination issues.
Evolving Technologies
Ensures employees are skilled at using technologies and knowledgeable of dispatching processes and procedures; determines how new technologies should be implemented.
Work Planning and Scheduling
Oversees the forecasting and long-range planning of utility construction work to ensure O&M and capital corporate strategies are implemented; ensures timely scheduling, construction and completion of major and minor construction projects; prioritizes construction activities and resource needs based upon limited crew resources dispersed in multiple locations.

Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent experience.
- Experience Prefer eight or more years in utility experience, specifically in transmission and distribution operations, construction, design or engineering or related field.
