General Manager

We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of our Portland, OR location. Portland Glass is a regional glass fabricator focused on manufacturing high quality insulated unit, tempered, custom laminated, and fabricated glass products. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of location operation.  

Responsibilities

·        Design strategy and set goals for growth

·        Maintain budgets and optimize expenses

·        Oversee day-to-day operations

·        Set policies and processes

·        Work with Plant Manager in achieving quality and service benchmarks

·        Manage sales staff

·        Manage vendor relationships

·        Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance

·        Direct the employee assessment process

·        Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

Skills

·        Proven experience in a General Manager, Plant Manager, or Sales Manager role

·        Experience in glass or relevant building materials industry

·        Experience in planning and budgeting

·        Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

·        Strong analytical ability

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

·        Problem-solving aptitude

·        BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus

Compensation:

·        Base salary plus bonus structure
