- We are hiring for a Placement: The R Family is an active, outdoor-loving family in SE Portland seeking a full-time nanny to care for their infant starting in early April. Both parents have demanding careers—Dad is a physician, and Mom is currently in medical school—and they need a reliable nanny to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for their little one. The position is 40 hours per week with possible overtime (discussed with nanny first).
Schedule: Monday through Friday, times between 7 am and 5:30 pm, with varying start time discussed and set ahead of time.
WFH: One or both parents may work from home occasionally, but nanny will primarily be working independently.
General Responsibilities:
Follow the family’s established schedule for naps, feedings, and bedtime, while also modeling normal speech patterns (avoiding "baby talk"). During nap time, the family would appreciate assistance with cleaning bottles or running a load of the baby’s laundry. Maintaining open communication with the parents is essential, as they are looking for a nanny who will actively partner with them in raising their daughter and highly value your feedback. Candidates who are flexible and can adapt to changes in the schedule with reasonable notice is desired. They would love a nanny who shares their values of inclusivity, empathy, respect, safety, and kindness.
Family has one friendly dog that will need to be let out from time to time during the day. They do have a dog walker.
