Pay: $33.00 per hour

Job Description:

The Armed Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of contract security officers, ensuring that all patrols, security procedures, and documentation meet company standards. The Supervisor will manage security officer performance, provide ongoing training and development, and ensure compliance with internal post orders and security protocols. This role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying shifts to ensure comprehensive oversight of all security operations. While the supervisor is expected to work with each officer regularly, they will also need to rely on after-the-fact reviews of patrol logs, incident reports, and other tools to oversee shifts they cannot directly supervise. This is an armed, uniformed security position in the Bingen area in both Oregon and Washington states.

• Act as the primary liaison between contract security officers, management, and Security leadership.
• Collaborate directly with the Lead Physical Security Administrator to ensure alignment with the physical security program and contract guard service needs.
• Submit routine metrics reports covering guard activities, performance reviews, and incidents.
• The supervisor will be expected to propose improvements in security protocols, technology use, or patrol procedures based on field experience.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve daily event logs and case reports.
• Conduct spot checks and ensure compliance with patrol routes and post orders.
• Monitor patrols using real-time tools such as access control, video security, and GPS.
• Conduct after-the-fact reviews of patrols and logs for shifts where direct supervision was not possible.
• Administer and enforce the Guard Services Performance Accountability Program.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and document performance issues.
• Provide one-on-one feedback to officers and escalate issues for disciplinary action when necessary.
• Develop and implement refresher and practical training programs for security officers.
• Ensure officers maintain up-to-date certifications (e.g., CPR/AED/First Aid).
• Conduct post-training assessments to confirm knowledge retention and performance improvements.
• Provide on-the-job shadowing and feedback for continuous officer development.
• Develop and maintain Guard services guidelines and work instructions.
• Ensure adherence to all post orders, policies, and security protocols.
• Respond to critical security incidents and ensure proper resolution and documentation.
• Follow the established Incident Command System (ICS) during emergencies, representing guard services. In rare instances, act as the Incident Commander (IC) until security leadership arrives
• Ensure compliance with certifications and documentation standards as part of overall performance accountability.
• Conduct daily briefings with officers to set expectations and address concerns.

Qualifications:

Experience

• 3 years of experience in security management or a supervisory role.
• Familiarity with security patrol procedures, incident response, and compliance standards.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills, including managing teams across multiple locations, especially in environments where direct supervision is not always possible.

Skills

• Strong documentation and report-writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including comprehensive knowledge of general computing systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based applications, and data management tools) and specialized security software (e.g., access control systems, patrol monitoring platforms, and video surveillance technology). Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, ensuring integration across various security and administrative functions.
• Proficiency in training program development and implementation, including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course development and delivery.

Certifications

• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Current Armed/Unarmed Oregon & Washington Security Licenses (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Current IS-100, IS-200, IS-700 & IS-800 FEMA Incident Command Certificates (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
