POSITION SUMMARY:
Limited Term Assessment Proctor for Advanced Placement Exams- non-licensed.
This position begins in late March or early April with approximately 5 hours per week for training (in person at the PESC), learning about Advanced Placement testing, reviewing testing manuals, and learning testing procedures. Additional hours may be available at this time to process testing materials and assembling testing packets (in person at the PESC). From May 2nd to May 23rd, the position is 40 hours per week assisting with and proctoring Advanced Placement testing on site at PPS's Marshall Campus (3905 SE 91st Ave, Portland, OR 97266). It is very important that potential hires are available for this entire time.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Attend weekly meetings with the Advanced Placement Planning Team, starting in March.
- Proctor Advanced Placement exams in May as directed by the Advanced Placement team.
- Organizes and checks physical testing materials for accuracy before and after testing.
- Performs duties as a member of a team.
- Attends trainings as required.
- Continuously communicates with Advanced Placement Staff and Program Administrator.
- Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience working with High School Students (preferred but not required)
2. Knowledge of District organization policy and standard procedures, including a knowledge of privacy protocols. (preferred but not required)
3.Comfortable administering standardized exams.
4.Comfortable maintaining focus during long periods of inactivity and silence.
5. Ability to be on feet for 75% of the time and lift up to 30 pounds.
6. High level of attention to detail.
7. Experience with or demonstrated ability to work with and appreciate individuals from diverse backgrounds.
8. Ability to regularly communicate via phone, text, or email.
9. Must complete background clearance requirements.
10. Must be able to commit to being present during all three weeks of testing in May 2025.
AP TESTING DATES (at Marshall Campus):
Standard Testing: May 5-9, and May 12-16
Late Testing: May 19-23
General Workday in May: 7:00-2:30PM or 8:30-4:00PM
Hourly Rate: $25.11
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma
This is a limited term hourly position.
