Position Summary
The Analyst Programmer 1 (AP1) supports the primary Banner production administrator by overseeing batch posting requirements, record load, and file clean up reports. This position is responsible for report writing and some data analytics. The AP1 assists with start of term and aid year set-up, as well as end of term processing and aid-year close-out. The AP1 is responsible for processing discrepancy lists, resolving duplicate files, and file transfer with the Department of Education. They also support programming and implementation of communication campaigns from the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, electronic form creation and maintenance, and scholarship application system support.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification
This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in systems analysis and related programming support functions generally obtained by a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or an equivalent amount of training and applied experience.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer-related discipline and two years’ experience in
systems analysis and programming and/or systems software and support.
Experience with Ellucian Banner and OnBase systems at an institution of higher education.
At least one year working in a financial aid office

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting monthly salary rate for this position will be between $3,994 and $4,793 at 1.0 FTE. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. PSU’s excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities
