Position Summary
The Associate Head Coach assists in all aspects of developing and advancing a competitive women’s basketball program in the Big Sky Conference. This includes, but is not limited to: coaching and player development, recruiting, retention, game strategy and preparation, counseling and mentorship to student-athletes; managing daily administrative duties of the program; fundraising and public relations; community service coordination, supervising assistants; adhering to all compliance rules and regulation of the university, NCAA, and Big Sky.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum four years collegiate coaching/collegiate competition or equivalency required.
- Demonstrated excellence in professional/interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the total welfare of student-athletes.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing a successful women’s basketball program both academically and athletically.
Preferred Qualifications
NCAA Division I experience preferred.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be between $48,144 – $60,080 but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
