Position Summary
This Revenue Agent 2 incumbent mainly works with domestic accounts.
The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary first contact for students who are sponsored by 3rd parties that make payments on their behalf.
This position works directly with the employer/sponsor to get tuition monies paid. Some billing for miscellaneous groups as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications from Classification
One year of direct collection experience (telephone or face-to-face) including knowledge of collection techniques. Collection experience must have been the primary responsibility, not incidental to other major duties.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
The person in this is position must be able to exercise sound judgment determining eligibility for short term loans, courtesy write-off’s, and working with third party payers; must also communicate effectively with a multicultural University population.
Attendance and punctuality are critical; model a positive attitude and a patient, courteous and helpful manner to students, coworkers, faculty, staff and the general public.

1. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills;
2. Outstanding customer service skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy;
3. Skills and experience explaining complex and routine procedures and policies;
4. Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications;
5. Successful completion of a background check;

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $18.93 and $21.42. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. PSU’s excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities
