Position Summary
We invite applicants to join our part-time adjunct instructor pool to teach courses in Accounting within the undergraduate programs of The School of Business.
Our immediate opening is for the ACTG 430 Governmental Accounting course in Spring 2025 in the “Online – No Scheduled Meetings” modality (i.e., fully asynchronous via the Canvas LMS).
ACTG 430 is a two (2) credit course (link to Portland State Bulletin).
Here is the course description:
An introduction to state and local governmental and “fund” accounting. Topics will include both the mechanics of fund accounting and presentation of financial statements by governmental entities in a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree
Five (5) years work experience in governmental and/or nonprofit accounting.
Five (5) years work experience in governmental and/or nonprofit accounting.

Compensation
$2,720 per 2-credit section
