As our Community Programs Intern, you will spend the 2023-2024 NBA Season assisting the Community Programs team with community engagement efforts.

As our Community Programs Intern, you will:

  • Staff Rip City 50-50 raffle program at all Trail Blazers home games including technology set-up, volunteer training and management, in-game trouble shooting, and post-game reporting.
  • Complete and track all 50-50 documentations for winners, nonprofit recipients and internal accounting.
  • Monitor and report on 50-50 results game-by-game for the season.
  • Fulfill, track and handle in-kind donations for nonprofit recipients and community events.
  • Manage in-game auctions including promotions, bidding, processing payments, and delivering items to winners.
  • Process, coordinate, and track giveaway inventory throughout the season to maintain accessibility for community partner donations.
  • Lead planning and execution of inventory distribution at season-end community celebration.
  • Support prep, execution, and follow up for community events including capturing supplies and signage, greeting guests, hosting stations, etc.
  • Conduct miscellaneous online research for various department projects.
  • Participate in additional administrative tasks for the Community Programs team.

We’d like to hear from you if you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age.
  • Volunteer and/or nonprofit experience working within a community.
  • Have experience working with volunteers and/or are confident speaking to and leading groups.
  • Are available to staff the 50-50 raffle pre, during, and post-game for all pre-season, regular season, and Playoff home games.
  • Are proficient working in different computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
  • Build and maintain constructive and positive working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Prioritize assignments, stay organized and have a sharp eye for detail. You are inventive and a quick learner.
  • Are motivated, take initiative and can handle working on multiple projects at a time.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bring a positive, upbeat demeanor every single day.
  • Maintain a high-level of confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with sensitive or proprietary information.
  • Possess the ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Are available to work a flexible schedule, which could include office hours, Trail Blazers home games, and evening/weekend responsibilities.
