Position Overview :
We are seeking a full-time, licensed veterinary technician or Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) to join our fast-paced, dynamic surgery department. Veterinary assistants with extensive experience in surgery will also be considered. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside five board-certified surgeons and surgical residents in a facility that handles soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and neurosurgeries.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with all aspects of surgical nursing, including diagnostics, anesthesia administration and monitoring, surgery prep, treatments, and post-operative care.
- Provide direct assistance during surgeries, including but not limited to soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and neurosurgery.
- Collaborate with a team of surgeons, residents and interns to ensure the highest standard of care for patients.
- Provide personalized and compassionate care to pets and their owners.
- Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the surgical department.
