What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Arts Teacher - Summer Program position at Portledge School?
Portledge School is looking for a dynamic and experienced Visual Arts Teacher to inspire and instruct rising Kindergarten through 5th grade students this upcoming summer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young learners and a strong background in teaching a variety of artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and collage.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Education (preferred); Teaching Certification (preferred)
Experience working with young children, particularly in a creative setting
Strong ability to create a nurturing and supportive environment, fostering trusting relationships with students
Physical ability to walk, stand, and engage actively with students for extended periods, as well as lift up to 30lbs as needed

Schedule:
Available Monday-Friday from 8:45am-3:15pm, June 30-August 8

Compensation:
