Job Summary And Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the provision of ancillary testing/ services performed as part of the Occupational Medicine Department. Services include but are not limited to: drug screening (urine and breath alcohol) taking vital signs, the performance of EKG’s, pulmonary function tests, hearing and vision screening, immunizations, and blood drawing. May go on-site to specific companies to provide services. The Medical Assistant II is also responsible for the calibration of equipment in the medical clinic, notifying the appropriate staff if equipment is malfunctioning, ordering supplies and stocking the exam rooms, as well as performing a monthly inventory of pharmaceuticals, disposing of expired medications appropriately. Additional duties include case management/client retention and development of protocols for applicable clinical processes
