Responsibilities
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Coordinates efficient scheduling of surgical procedures.
- Performs clerical duties associated with surgical procedures.
- Documents concisely, precisely, and accurately on all records as indicated by policy.
- Assures patient and personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and adhering to center staff, safety, and health programs.
- Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors, and other health care team members.
- Maintains confidentiality of patients and center related business.
- Seek guidance and validation when situations arise which exceed the incumbent’s capabilities.
- Maintains and increases standards of performance and education.
- Participates in quality assessment activities as directed, for the continuous improvement of patient care.
- Compliance with the attendance policy.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and Center related business.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Communication skills: the ability to convey written and verbal information accurately and effectively.
- Excellent listening skills, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- The ability to function independently without constant supervision.
- The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce reasonable answers.
- The ability to respond quickly, physically, and mentally as the need arises.

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Computer skills: Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- Basic office skills; includes knowledge and experience with office equipment (copier, fax, phones, postage equipment, etc.).
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
