We are currently hiring for a National Distribution Sales Manager. This position will drive the growth and development of the distribution channel across the Americas. The employee, who will directly report to the Head of Sales, will specifically be responsible for the ongoing development and rationalization of a formal distribution network, as well as for meeting and / or exceeding the agreed sales budget set forth. This position will require ongoing distributor training, obtaining strategic partnerships, and both identifying and executing methods that will increase the Company’s efficiency with large, national accounts.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quota, strategic and unit sales mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals.
  • Develop sales plans and detailed strategies with the Head of Sales to best achieve revenue goals and account-related metrics.
  • Establish monthly progress reports to keep management informed on industry trends and track progress.
  • Report the value and status of major outstanding quotations. Track projects that are won and lost and analyze the reasons to improve the winning percentage.
  • Plan and conduct regular distributor training, site visits, and joint sales calls.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer service team to ensure exemplary customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Investigate issues, devise solutions, compile reports, and submit suggestions to the Head of Sales.
  • Increase annual spend with the core distributor base, expand the network with qualified partners by negotiating project pricing and terms, and develop and maintain high-level relationships with large national accounts.
  • Leverage PFG Inc’s expanding product lines to capture market share from vulnerable strategic competitors.
  • Work closely with other key players in the sales department to meet the company's objectives.
  • Review open orders, provide sales forecasts, understand product costs and profitability, report delivery promises, etc.
  • Visit up to 60% of the distribution network annually. Make cooperative sales calls on consulting engineers, contractors, and distributors to secure valued and trusted business relationships.
  • Adhere to standard processes, procedures and policies.
  • Respond to management requirements and directives in a positive and timely manner.
  • Participate in special projects as required and other duties as they are assigned.

Qualifications / Training Required

  • BS Engineering is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant filtration experience
  • 5 years of experience in sales development in a complex manufacturing and / or distributor environment
  • Proven leadership skills as an account or territory sales manager in industrial markets
  • Proven and verifiable history of increasing revenues to meet benchmarks and Company goals
  • Experience in application sales and filtration products is required : Particular interest markets include food and beverage, chemical process, life sciences, microelectronics, and general industrial sectors
  • One must possess a documented track record of generating profitable sales, communicating sales outcomes, and executing growth strategies
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • The candidate will possess strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • The candidate will possess a high level of emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • The candidate should display a high level of enthusiasm, motivation, and ambition and have a real passion for their work
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking with a focus on the Company’s mission
  • In addition to a willingness to travel, the candidate must be a self-starter and comfortable in a home office environment while operating as part of a collaborative team
