Purpose:
Promotes, markets and sells company products and services within an assigned area and/or channel. Schedules and carries out sales calls with new and existing customers, developing relationships with them and providing information and service to maximize sales volume and margins, within thedistribution/sub distribution/dealer community.
General Description:
Identify prospective dealers and distribution customers and gather relevant data/knowledge on their business.
Promote and sell company products.
Service and develop accounts to their full potential.
Maintain CRM.
Take part in training and development programs to keep abreast of company and market information.
Introduce, demonstrate, promote and sell existing and new product lines and services within a channel and/or territory.
Utilize CRM software to track all customer data.
Maintain and update all activity in CRM.
Work to meet or exceed sales objectives both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Quote prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sales and delivery.
Gather and distribute data on market trends as necessary.
Schedule and visit clients to forge trust-based relationships and to obtain increased business.
Participate in billing disputes and collections as necessary or required.
Prepare expense reports as necessary.
Prepare call reports and keep adequate files of existing and prospective customers.
Prepare sales and other reports and analysis as necessary.
Monitor and analyze sales and margins.
Provide assistance in showroom as needed.
Manage overflow from other outside sales personnel.
Attend trade shows and maintain/update customer databases as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
Possess a strong track record of territory and sales growth.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Requires relevant experience in dealer sales.
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and versatility to operate different software packages.
Communication skills are required, including phone/visit etiquette and commitment to finding solutions for customers.
Requires extensive regional traveling.
Outside sales experience in distribution markets
Experience representing high end and luxury brands
Familiar and comfortable meeting and exceeding sales targets
Execute unique sales strategies to win over projects amongst competitors.
